On Annexation
I vote to HALT THE PROCESS immediately, before more funds are wasted !
I have read all of the articles on the process and do not think that it is worth the time and money. Mount Pleasant/Charleston County schools are already overcrowded, and they will be building new schools, and taxes will be going up. Also, I have not heard anything regarding our FLOOD INSURANCE. Just the fact that we would have Charleston County behind our address, may mean increased flood insurance rates.
The school situation has been settled, which was the catalyst for investigating the move, and I do not blame the parents for being upset. Many years ago, we lived two blocks from our children's schools, and they walked to school. I know I would have been angry if they had been moved to another school.
Now is the time to end this before more expenses are incurred.
