Thanks to the middle school boys that took lost bike to
police station

Earlier this spring brought beautiful weather and, for our family, the chance to ride bikes to school again.  Friday was the last day of school for DIS prior to spring break, so we were really in the mood; however, my son had a playdate after school,  so it was my responsibility to pick up his bike and bring it home.  Of course,  I forgot and it was Monday morning  before we realized it was still at the school,  or so we hoped.
We anxiously rode up to the school to sadly find his bike gone, with only the helmet resting where he had parked his bike Friday morning. My son was so disappointed and I was devastated, as it was my fault the bike was left there in the first place.  We decided to check some of the neighborhood parks to see if it had been left by someone who just wanted to take it for a ride.  Unfortunately it was not.
Finally we decided to stop at the police department to report it missing or stolen.  As my son and I entered their office,  to our great surprise the bike was sitting right in front of the officer’s desk!  He reported that two middle school boys found the bike behind the DIS sign in the bushes and brought it in.  We wanted to thank these boys so very much for taking the time to do this.  And it is always so beautiful when you see kids make the choice to do the right thing. Thanks again!
