Daniel Island’s own Dr. Jennifer Esse, owner of Daniel Island Hearing, is excited to be the first provider in South Carolina and the only provider in the Lowcountry to offer the breakthrough Lyric® technology to patients.

The Lyric hearing device is the first and only 100 percent invisible, extended-wear hearing device that remains in the ear canal 24-hours a day, 7 days a week for up to 120 days at a time. Daily insertion and removal is not required and there are no batteries to change. Lyric’s breakthrough technology and placement deep within the ear canal results in effortless hearing and exceptional sound quality that allows patients to lead their lives without the constant reminder of their hearing loss.

Lyric is placed into the ear canal where it resides for months at a time, which enables patients to use Lyric throughout most everyday activities, such as exercising, showering, talking on the phone and sleeping – letting the patient hear better and live life to the fullest. The revolutionary Lyric also prevents patients from experiencing many of the inconveniences associated with traditional hearing aids, such as daily insertion and removal, continual maintenance and changing batteries, the aesthetic appearance of the hearing aids and the constant worry about one’s appearance.

Lyric is uniquely designed to provide natural sound quality by using the ear’s anatomy to direct sound into the ear canal. It is also programmed specifically for a patient’s hearing needs. After insertion, patients can use a magnetic adjustment tool to change the volume and settings as needed, as well as turn the device on and off.

Who Wears Lyric?

Lyric is designed for people with mild to moderately severe hearing loss. Contact Dr. Esse today at 971-4199 to see if Lyric is right for you.
