Daniel Island Academy to hold Open House and Meet the Teachers

Daniel Island Academy will hold an Open House on Thursday, July 30, from 4 until 7 p.m., followed by a Meet the Teachers on Friday, July 31, from 9 a.m. until noon.

The annual Open House and Meet the Teachers events are traditionally held for current parents as a kick-off to the new school year, which begins August 3. This year an invitation is extended to prospective parents too.

"Our Open House and Meet the Teachers events are perfect opportunities for prospective parents to visit the school and meet our parents, teachers and administrative staff," stated Kerry Nowosielski, school director. "Parents choose a school for many reasons, of which great teachers and an outstanding curriculum are obviously important, but also for the friendships they and their children will form. We are fortunate to have a very active parents’ association with strong board leadership, committee members, and room parents who plan events throughout the year and lend support to our teachers and their fellow parents when needed."

The school will hold to its current tuition rates with no increases for the 2009-10 school year. Furthermore, Daniel Island Academy has added at no additional charge academic enhancements of a library program, a music teacher for all classes, and a new language programs for older students.

Daniel Island Academy is an early childhood education center offering full time, part time, and mother’s morning out programs for children aged 1 though 6.
