News 2 Chief Meteorologist Rob Fowler captured the attention of second graders at the Daniel Island School on February 19 with an interactive discussion about the science of weather forecasting.
A group of Daniel Island School 7th graders are learning the value of giving back to their community, especially when it means helping one of their own. The students, participating in a "life skills" class this semester, held two events in February, a heart gram sale and a bake sale, to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Their efforts, combined with a "jeans day" for teachers, brought in close to $1300 for the cause, which will directly benefit a child at Daniel Island School.
