To celebrate the Soccer FIFA World Cup 2010, Cainhoy Athletic Soccer Club with players/staff from the Charleston Battery presented a World Cup themed training clinic for its membership and guests. Over 45 children enjoyed three evenings of fun and games with Nigel Marples, Steve Armstrong, and Joey Gorman. Pictured here are Charlie Hamlin, Doscher Hill, and Michael Tunesi of Daniel Island School (rising 5th graders). And Sarah Altunbas and Mackenzie Kiefer with Stephen Armstrong of the Battery.

Next year technical trainers for Cainhoy Athletic Soccer Club include Keith Wiggans from the Charleston Battery and College of Charleston Men’s program, in addition to Mike Barroqueiro (Asst Women’s coach at College of Charleston), and Jason Hamil (Head Boys coach at Academic Magnet High School). Registration is open now until July 31 and details can be found online at www.cainhoyathletic.com.
