Both Hanahan and Bishop England football continue to dominate their class and region. Last week, BE ran over Woodland 35-7, taking sole place of first place in Class AA, Region 6 play. After losing their first two games of the season, the Bishops have been on a tear, winning seven straight games to improve to 7-2. This Friday they play away at Ridgeland. The Bishops are 6-0 in region play and Ridgeland is tied for second with Woodland at 5-1.
Hanahan also remained atop the Class AAA, Region 8, defeating Hilton Head 55-21. The Hawks take an impressive 9-0 record into this week’s game against Stahl, which has a 1-8 record. The Hawks are now ranked top in the state in the Class AAA division.
