Overheard at the swim meet: "Coach Alex, which one is your taser?" Coach Alex doubles in law enforcement and arrived in uniform last week against Snee Farm to encourage his swimmers. No, he isn't arresting Snee Farm Coach Jason Kreutner. The two coaches share a friendly handshake.

The Daniel Island Flying Fish dropped their first home meet of the year last Tuesday in a league face-off against perennial league champions Snee Farm, 162-375.

The team rebounded on Thursday night with a victory at Hobcaw Yacht Club, 307-226.
