Complete with views of the marsh, it operates as its own small village, with a clubhouse, business center and social activities. Each condo is individually owned, and the common areas and amenities are owned by the Daniel’s Landing Homeowner’s Association. “What makes us unique is that we are the only condominium community on the Island with a clubhouse, and our community association is self managed with an onsite management team,” says Community Manager Valerie Barrow. “We are always here. Residents are in and out of the clubhouse, they pop in to say hello, visit with their neighbors and have coffee and bagels and participate in the activities. It’s part of their social life.”

Daniel Island Property Owners Association Contact: 843.971.9200, www.dicommunity.org The Daniel Island Property Owners Association serves as the primary communication link between residents, island business owners and the master developer through the use of their community website at www.dicommunity.org. The POA enforces the rules and regulations put in place by the Covenants and is responsible for the mailbox installation in the residential areas, street signs maintenance, roadside maintenance and oversees the maintenance of common island property like parks, leisure trails, swimming pools, boat launch ramps, green spaces and other community amenities. “Our office is dedicated to working hand in hand with residents to improve their quality of life even more,” says Barbara McLaughlin, Manager of Community Services. “We love seeing our residents around the island enjoying all that it has to offer, from walking trails to sporting events and concerts. Dr. Jimmy Smith provides chiropractic care, rehabilitation, nutritional support and spinal decompression for his patients, and he has been serving Daniel Island residents since 2002. HealthSource specializes in helping with sports injuries and improving performance, and also provides pediatric care. “We love that our patients are part of a close knit community,” Smith says. “We have been here since the beginning, and we have seen the island grow into this fabulous place to work and live. We feel like we’re a part of the Daniel Island family.”
