Mark your calendars for the Annual Daniel Island Cub Scout Earth Day Celebration and Plant Sale that will be April 20 from 8 am to noon at the Church of the Holy Cross on Daniel Island.
Learn about items that should not go in the regular trash and ways to reduce things that go into the landfill.
The Cub Scouts will collect hazardous household materials for proper disposal. Items include: household cleaners and polishers, pesticides and fertilizers, batteries, paints and solvents and electronics. The Cub Scouts will also host a plant sale - choose from tomato, pepper, squash, a variety of herbs and annuals. They will also serve as a Goodwill donation drop-off.
A Kid’s Zone will be available - plant a seed or make a pinecone bird feeder!
All activities are free. Donations will be accepted on behalf of the Cub Scouts. Plants will be available for purchase. Chick Fil-A biscuits will be available for purchase.
Save yourself a trip “over the bridge” and support your local Cub Scouts. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Cub Scouts at dicubscouts@gmail.com.
