Palooza in the park

Patriotic Parade 5PM
The fun continues as guests are invited to extend the celebration and be a part of our Annual Community Parade (bikes, wagons, strollers and golf carts) are welcome! The parade will begin at Etiwan Park and end at the
Children’s Park.

SUNDOWN ON THE WANDO FREE CONCERTS at Children's Park
Charleston Community Band 6-7PM
Daniel Island will honor our Armed Forces with a “Salute to Our Heroes “Patriotic Concert”. The Charleston Community Band has served the tri-county area with musical entertainment for over 30 years at events throughout the low country. The 60-piece band, is an all-volunteer organization conducted by Mr. Todd Jenkins.

The Mighty Kicks 7-9PM
Since their formation in the late ‘80’s the Mighty Kicks! have grown in stature performing with their mentors The Original Tams, The Fantastic Shakers, and the Chairmen of the Board. With their non-stop choreography, non-stop music, and non-stop energy, the Mighty Kicks! have earned their place among the top echelon of entertainment in the southeast and beyond. Be sure to put on your dancin’ shoes as their song list will appeal to everyone. We’ll even have an extra large dance floor that evening as well! Other activities will include Face Painting, Corn Hole, and a Patriotic Glam Station.

Karoline Rhett
A native of Charleston, Karoline’s interest in music began at the age of three, when she began to deliver versions of her favorite tunes. In 2010, Karoline recorded her debut CD, ‘Stirring Rainbows’. In 2012, Karoline recorded her 2nd CD ‘Melody’, which was released March 2013. On the horizon for Karoline, she will be a touring member of the “Teen Nation Tour”. Teen Nation Tour consist of several teens that tour selected venues and schools to help promote anti-bullying, something Karoline is very passionate about.

THURSDAY, July 4TH
Poolside Celebration & Cookout at Pierce Park Pavilion
11 am – 2 pm
(Daniel Island residents and their guests only)

Delicious food and cold drinks will be sold poolside along with fun aquatic games for the kids and DJ Music provided. Food and music begins at 11 am, followed by pool games starting at 12 pm and ending at 2 pm. Back again this year is the “Red, White and Blue Corrugated Cardboard Pool Regatta Race.”

Daniel Island Grille will be poolside, offering burgers, hotdogs, chicken and BBQ. Beer as well as Red, White and Blue Frozen Margarita’s and wine (Cash bar). Cool Treats by Mr. Koolie Vintage Ice Cream Truck  - Cones, Sundaes, and other Frozen Treats. Pool Games with Daniel Island Aquatics Staff for the Whole Family - Noon - 1:30 pm
12:00 - Mom & Child Water Balloon Toss (6 and under)
12:15 - Mom & Child Water Balloon Toss (7 and up)
12:30 - Daddy & Child Piggy Back Race (6 and under)
12:45 - Daddy & Child Piggy Back Race (7 and up)
1:15 - Coin Toss (6 and under)
1:30 - Coin Toss (7 and up)
1:30 - 2:00 Cardboard Regatta Race

*** Please Note - No Dogs/Animals Are Allowed Inside the Pool Gates
