IKON Office Solutions, which specializes in document management, recently moved its Charleston office from North Charleston to Daniel Island, and sales manager Mark Armstrong said his employees "couldn’t be happier." Armstrong, who has been with the company since 1987, said the company has been in Charleston for 20 years, and in the North Charleston location for more than nine.

Why the move to Daniel Island? Armstrong pointed to the general business environment, proximity to other technology companies, such as Blackbaud, and convenience, adding that the office’s roughly 25 employees (counting both sales and service) are thrilled with the move. The office is located on Seven Farms Drive and occupies roughly 2,500 square feet. IKON Office Solutions, a Ricoh company, has three offices in South Carolina and more than 300 in the U.S.

Ricoh bought IKON in 2008, and Armstrong said that the partnership has worked well. "They’re huge globally, and are environmentally conscious," adding: "They were green before it was hip." Armstrong said that sustainability "is a big part of what Ricoh does."
