Local island golfer Clara Park chipped, putted and drove her way to capture the state title at the SC Junior Golf Association State Tournament for the girls 8-10 year old division. In addition to Park, several other kids from Daniel Island recently competed in the SC Junior Golf Association’s State Tournament on Seabrook, held on August 15-16. The Daniel Island kids compete locally in the Mt. Pleasant Jr Golf chapter (MTPJGA). The MTPJGA is a chapter of the SCJGA and it is run locally by the YMCA of Greater Charleston, providing an incredible opportunity for local kids in this sport.

Listed below are the names of the players from the MTPJGA who qualified for state tournament and how they placed in the state tournament. Daniel Island residents are highlighted in bold.
