Introducing the game of tennis to the public has always been a priority at the Family Circle Tennis Center as professional instruction rapidly accelerates individual skill levels, enjoyment of the game and it’s aerobic benefits.
The public tennis facility recently redesigned its Junior Academies and created an Adult Academy to implement an industry-first 52-week guaranteed eye-hand breakthrough coordination system called the HAL 3in1™ Guaranteed Next Level Academies.
Born from neurological studies at the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute, the revolutionary HAL 3in1™ program is a scientific breakthrough that brings together the eye, footwork, stroke all at the same time, thus 3in1™. Created by former Tour professional Lenny Schloss, this program is now available to juniors ages 4-17 and adults of all skill levels exclusively at Family Circle Tennis Center.
"We are very excited to offer this amazing new training system called HAL that makes learning or improving your game to the next level 700 percent faster than traditional ball machines or ball tosses" said Rob Eppelsheimer, director of Facilities and Tennis Development at the Family Circle Tennis Center. "The HAL device is so revolutionary that we have restructured our Junior and Adult Programs to offer accelerated advancement programs to everyone who wants to learn or improve their game throughout the Charleston area."
Created by Lenny Schloss, former highly ranked touring professional, the HAL 3in1™ training device originated from neurological studies at the John Hopkins-Wilmer Eye Institute in Baltimore, where it was designed to identify and eliminate distractions to the eye, the most common cause of off-center hits. Proven with more than one million hours of on-court testing in a 17-city, 15,000 student USTA-funded introductory program, this patented, one-of-a-kind revolutionary instructional program has been endorsed by hundreds of teaching professionals across the country for its simplified and faster absorption of training. It is so effective that the Family Circle Tennis Center guarantees players who complete six HAL 3in1™ instructional sessions will improve their strokes by one National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP) level.
"With any moving ball sport, such as baseball, volleyball, soccer, lacrosse, football, or basketball, keeping your "eye on the ball" is the most critical element and hardest to retain consistently when executing successful strokes. HAL trains the eye first and foremost, while simultaneously coordinating the footwork and strokes for all aspects of the game including, topspin, underpin, ground strokes, lobs, volleys, serves and overheads" said Schloss.
"This eye-hand coordination innovation literally makes learning the game quick, easy, and affordable for anyone interested in learning a sport of a lifetime. For the first time in tennis history, we guarantee next-level improvement," added Eppelsheimer. "I have seen our HAL students improve their strokes to the next level. This system works wonders for league players trying to reach their full potential or anyone stuck at a plateau."
HAL 3in1™ Guaranteed Next Level Academy instruction yields immediate results within the first 100 balls/30 minutes for any stroke. The ability of students of all levels and ages to learn "self-correction" skills is quickly established minimizing additional instruction.

About Lenny Schloss:
The HAL 3in1™ program was founded by Lenny Schloss, a former University of Tennessee All-American and Top 10-ranked USA touring pro who competed in all four Grand Slams before suffering a career-ending shoulder injury in his third year on tour. The tiebreak was implemented the following year.
