Daniel Island residents can have beautiful flowers delivered straight to their door thanks to the Marigold Flower Cart.

Budding business is blooming for Daniel Island resident

Daniel Island gets its first ever full-time flower truck

Daniel Island resident Brianna Roberts is hauling some fragrant cargo around town. Roberts is the founder of Marigold Flower Cart and lives on the island with her husband and two children. Marigold Flower Cart is a mobile flower market featuring locally-sourced, farm-fresh flowers for the Daniel Island area.

Roberts came up with the idea to start her new business after she moved back to Daniel Island and had difficulty finding fresh flowers in the community.

“I would shop for flowers each week to brighten my own home, but always had to leave the island to find the prettiest options,” she said. “I decided now was as good a time as ever to bring them to the island myself in the form of Marigold Flower Cart.”

Roberts previously worked as an interior decorator and always loved using flowers and plants in her designs. She is excited to share her love of flowers with the Daniel Island community. “Marigold Flower Cart was born from the belief that every room is lovelier with flowers in it, and everyone deserves them,” added Roberts.

Marigold Flower Cart specializes in what Roberts describes as “down-to-earth, casual arrangements.” She plans to do business exclusively on Daniel Island, allowing her to offer residents free delivery.

The European-style cart will be popping up at different spots around the island where residents can grab a bouquet of fresh flowers.

“You can make your own bouquet or we’ll put together one for you,” said Roberts, who also has an “inside-friendly” cart. Both carts are available for parties, gatherings, and events.

Roberts is also offering a flower club membership. Clients can choose weekly or monthly delivery. She says Marigold will have flowers that are not available at the grocery store and will also offer potted plants and succulents.

Roberts sources her flowers and greenery from local farms and growers across the Carolinas. Former Daniel Island resident Maria Baldwin is the owner of Wimbee Farms and provides some of the beautiful blooms Roberts sells.

“I loved meeting the Marigold Flower Cart today and bringing locally grown flowers from Wimbee Creek Farm to Daniel Island!” said Baldwin. “I’m so proud of what Bri is doing and her approach to this concept! I hope she gets all the support from Daniel Island.”

Daniel Island resident Stephanie Yeagle is a customer of Marigold Flower Cart and is thrilled to have fresh flowers available so close to home.

“I am so excited that Bri started Marigold Flower Cart,” said Yeagle. “I love flowers in the house all year long and Bri puts together an incredible bouquet every time. For me it’s a simple but affordable luxury that really puts the finishing touch on our home. And the convenience of having them dropped off at your door is hard to beat.”
