THE MORTGAGE COMPANY RELOCATES ON DI

The Mortgage Company, owned by Tim Murphy, has relocated to 126 Seven Farms Drive, Suite 160-B on Daniel Island. Murphy is a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator with over 20 years mortgage lending experience.

“This location offers visibility, convenient parking and easy access for our clients,” said Murphy.

The office was previously located at 225 Seven Farms Drive.

“With access to over 60 unique loan programs from major insurance lenders, The Mortgage Company can offer a broad spectrum of mortgage options and purchasing power for our clients,” continued Murphy.

JOYNER FAMILY DENTISTRY NOW OPEN

The new Joyner Family Dentistry practice off Clements Ferry Road is now open and serving new patients. The office is located at 2030 Wambaw Creek Road, Suite 106, next to Subway and Hardscoop Ice Cream.

A native of Mount Pleasant, Dr. Samuel Joyner attended Palmetto Christian Academy and Wando High School. He then continued his education at Clemson University, and received his Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the Medical University of South Carolina on a Navy Health Professions Scholarship. Dr. Joyner then completed his Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Camp Lejeune, N.C. in order to further his training in all areas of general dentistry. He completed a total of five years of active duty as a dentist in the United States Navy and treated service members in the Navy, Army, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard.

The practice accepts most dental insurances, and the first 50 new patients will receive a free whitening kit when they come in for a cleaning and new patient exam. Currently, the office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, but patients can call anytime to schedule an appointment.

DI RESIDENT OPENS NEW LEGAL NURSE CONSULTING FIRM

Daniel Island resident Suzanna Doty, RN, BSN, CEN, a certified nurse consultant, has opened a new firm to serve the legal and medical community. Doty is the founder of AMP Legal Nurse Consulting, which provides clinical expertise, unique healthcare insight, record knowledge, legal process understanding and resources to help clientele understand, litigate and resolve medical-related cases.

According to a press release, the firm offers services that span screening cases, interpreting medical records, defining applicable standards of care, assessing alleged damages, preparing documentation and exhibits for court, offering expert testimony, and more.

“During my years as a registered nurse, I often witnessed the gap between the clinical and legal worlds while assisting patients and their families,” said Doty. “I’m on a mission to help better bridge this gap and bring clinical clarity, accuracy and legal understanding to both sides of the table.”

Doty has over a decade of managerial, clinical and triage nursing experience, as well as medical record analysis for hospitals, critical care units and the government. She has worked as a registered nurse (RN) and shift leader in environments ranging from emergency room and trauma care to specialized cardiac care units and teaching hospitals.

Doty earned a B.S. in nursing from the University of Alabama, Huntsville and a B.S. in human environmental science with a minor in nutrition from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. She is an active member of the International Nursing Association, the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants (NACLNC®), St. Clare of Assisi Church and the Military Spouses Club of Daniel Island.
