DI resident launches business as a mental health coach

Long-time business consultant and mental health and addiction advocate Jay Shifman recently launched a mental health coach business. Aimed at those who have decided they’re ready to take the next step in their personal journey, Shifman works with individuals on establishing good mental health habits, a better outlook and brighter frame of mind.

“I can’t replace your therapist,” Shifman says, “Nor do I want to. But we can work together to reinforce what you’re working on and give you new tools to succeed.”

Shifman is in long-term recovery himself. “I was forced to learn good mental health skills in the worst way possible. But I want to turn the awful experience of struggling with addiction into something positive and help others reach a better place of living.”

Shifman moved to Daniel Island from Cincinnati, Ohio, in August 2019 with his wife, Lauren, and their dog, Nell. He’s currently working on a book focused on the addiction and mental health epidemic in our country. Learn more at his website www.JayShifman.com or call 513-578-4266 or email JBShifman@gmail.com.
