KEVIN BROOKES NAMED TOP MORTGAGE LOAN OFFICER
Kevin Brookes, senior vice president and mortgage loan officer for South State Bank, has been awarded “#1 Mortgage Loan Officer” in the company in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia for the second year in a row.
Kevin and his wife, Catherine, moved to Daniel Island in 2002 and have 13-year-old twin boys. Kevin has been a mortgage loan officer for 23 years and specializes in jumbo loans, construction loans, lot loans, physician loans, refinances, renovation loans, and assisting buyers with their first home purchase.

NEW ASSOCIATES JOIN CAROLINA ONE LONGPOINT RD. OFFICE
Maggie Chussler, BIC of Carolina One Real Estate’s Mt. Pleasant Longpoint Road office, has announced that five new agents have been added to that office’s award-winning team. According to Chussler, Olivia Hall, Gregg Gethers, Csilla Stankovics, Alex Toregas and Anne Wise are “primed and ready to begin their rigorous and extensive training in preparation for a rewarding career in real estate.”
A native of Grand Rapids, MI, Olivia Hall is a graduate of Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, MI with a BS degree in Education. Currently a high school English teacher, Hall is also an accomplished violin soloist who often performs at Lowcountry weddings. In addition to cooking and baking, she enjoys reading, photography and staying physically active.
A resident of Charleston for the past 40 years, Gregg Gethers studied at both Spartanburg Methodist College and Trident Technical College. Married with three children, Gethers was previously employed as a butcher and an auto mechanic. An avid chess player, he also relishes traveling and reading.
Hungarian-born Csilla Stankovics graduated Magna Cum Laude from the College of Charleston with a degree in business administration with an emphasis on real estate. Stankovics will receive her MBA from the Graduate College at the Citadel in May. Prior to choosing a career in real estate, Stankovics worked as an executive assistant to the CEO of a local engineering firm. A lover of dogs, she enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors.
Alex Toregas is a first generation American of French and Greek ancestry. Born in Washington, DC, Toregas received her medical biology and sciences degree from the University of New England. She has been employed in the hotel management industry since her arrival in Charleston nine years ago. Married with two children, Toregas resides in North Charleston with her husband Martin. An avid reader, she competed on the volleyball and equestrian teams while in college and currently enjoys painting, traveling and creating jewelry.
Before deciding on a career in real estate, Anne Wise was involved in selling and marketing higher education textbooks. She also participated as a professional organizer consultant and home stager, both of which will be an invaluable asset to her as he begins her new career in real estate. Married to a professional photographer, Wise enjoys movies, gardening and Charleston’s amazing array of fine restaurants.
