Concert in the Park

The annual “Concert in the Park” returns to Smythe Park on Sat., May 26, from 6-10 pm. The Joe Clarke Big Band will showcase songs from the “big band” era of the 1930s and 40s featuring a 13-horn section of trumpets, trombones, and saxes – plus a dynamic rhythm section consisting of bass, drums, piano and guitar. Bring your own picnic or purchase dinners from a variety of food trucks. Prizes will be awarded for most elaborate and creative picnic spreads. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for May 27. www.dicommunity.org.
