Daniel Island News sales and design staff earn top ad design awards
â€œIt made us hungry,â€ commented the advertising design judges for the South Carolina Press Associationâ€™s annual ad design contest when describing the first place award given to Daniel Island News Creative Director Jan Marvin and Sales Executive Ronda Schilling for their work on an advertisement for Daniel Island eatery Dragon Palace in the Restaurant/Night Life category. That comment, just one of many accolades given to our staff, certainly sums up what a good restaurant ad should do.
The Daniel Island News sales team and design team garnered six awards from the South Carolina Press Association advertising contest. Four of the six designs, including the Dragon Palace ad, earned first place honors.
Daniel Island News Creative Director Jan Marvin designed all the winning ads and was recognized with Sales Executives Trudy Hicks and Schilling for their outstanding work in helping our advertisersâ€™ businesses grow. Congratulation to the team. The winning ads, by place and category are:
