EXPLORING THE CHARLESTON RENAISSANCE
Charleston suffered greatly in the post-Civil War years, but the period between World War I and World War II was a time of growth and glamour as the city experienced a boom in the arts as artists, writers, architects, and historical preservationists came together to improve and represent their city. On Tuesday, March 19, from 7 to 8 pm, at Church of the Holy Cross, 299 Seven Farms Dr., join the Daniel Island Historical Society as they present “Exploring the Charleston Renaissance” with guest speaker Mary Webb of the history department of Ashley Hall.
