Hear ye, hear ye!
Sixth graders at Daniel Island School spent some time last month tapping into their talents, having fun, and getting to know the words of The Bard, William Shakespeare, as they analyzed and performed monologues from Richard III! The ELA students are currently participating in an Engaging Creative Minds (ECM) experience with Teralyn Reiter and Andrea Rausch of Storytree Theatre. ECM provides arts and technology residencies (experiences) in the Berkeley County School District. The focus of this opportunity has been creating monologue performances of Shakespeare’s Richard III. Students have filled the roles of directors, stage managers, audience members, as well as actors.
