Lowcountry Explorers - Hopsewee Plantation
The explorers are off to Historic Hopsewee plantation on April 5. This is a cellar to attic tour of one of the South’s major rice plantations built in 1740 by Thomas Lynch, Jr. one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Learn about the rich history of Hopsewee and its previous families as well as the current owners and the slaves who lived and worked there.
