Annual 'Golf Ball' to benefit ECCO
East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO) will hold its 5th Annual “Golf Ball” this month with two fundraising events to benefit local families in financial distress.
Presented by the Medical University of South Carolina, ECCO’s 2017 Gala, dubbed “A Night to Shine,” will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 12, at the Daniel Island Club. The evening will feature creative food stations, complimentary wine and beer, music, and a range of activities including a Wine Pull sponsored by Bottles Beverage Store, Spirit Ring Toss, Diamonds Direct Champagne Raffle, and a silent auction with more than 80 customized packages. The night will conclude with a live auction hosted by Benefit Auctioneer Tom Crawford, who will offer guests the chance to bid on vacation packages, airline tickets, unique local experiences, a handcrafted diamond necklace by Skatell’s and more. Dress code for the event is cocktail attire with sparkles and shine encouraged. New this year, ECCO is offering a VIP reception, sponsored by Daniel Island Real Estate, with early check-in starting at 6:30 pm. General admission tickets to the Gala are $150 per person or $250 for reserved seating. Table sponsorships are still available for a donation of $1,850 to accommodate eight guests. All guests will have access to complimentary valet parking thanks to Mercedes-Benz of Mount Pleasant.
The 2017 Golf Tournament, presented by Nucor Steel Berkeley, will take place at noon on Monday, May 22, with a shotgun start on both of Daniel Island’s nationally-ranked private courses. Beresford and Ralston Creek courses are a unique pairing of Tom Fazio and Rees Jones championship designs. Golfers will have the chance to win the Ultimate BMW Driving Experience, the lease on a brand new Lexus, and other tournament prizes. Foursomes and select sponsorship levels are still available.
Proceeds from the Golf Tournament and Gala will go directly to support ECCO’s programs that serve low-income households throughout the Lowcountry. ECCO assists those in need by providing food, clothing, financial assistance, dental and medical services, financial literacy training, and other educational programs.
