TEN YEARS AGO - DANIEL ISLAND SCHOOL WELCOMES STUDENTS FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!
In the August 17, 2006 edition of the paper the top news was the opening and first day at the brand new Daniel Island School! On the first day of the first year of the school, the doors opened to a total of 543 students.
FIVE YEARS AGO - GOVERNOR HALEY SIGNS LEGISLATION AT DANIEL ISLAND REAL ESTATE OFFICE
In the August 18, 2011 edition of the paper the top story we reported that South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley came to Daniel Island and signed into law a bill that she hoped would get the state’s real estate market back on track. We reported: “The ceremonial signing of House Bill 3713, a point-of-sale reform measure targeting tax assessments on the sale of second homes, commercial and investment properties, took place at the Daniel Island Real Estate office…”
