DINA meeting to offer update on community/recreation center

Want to get the latest on the planned Daniel Island Community/Recreation Center? Area residents are invited to attend the August 28 meeting of the Daniel Island Neighborhood Association to get an update on the center, which is set to break ground late next month. According to DINA President Marie Delcioppo, City of Charleston officials and the DINA Community/Recreation Center Committee will provide handouts and the latest information on the long-anticipated project.

The meeting will be held at the Daniel Island Club, located at 600 Island Park Drive. A “meet and greet” will take place between 6 and 6:30 p.m., followed by the meeting from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Also planned are reports from Team 5 (City of Charleston Police), Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis, and Rep. Nancy Mace, who will provide a legislative update.
