New traffic light soon to be operational

A new traffic light at the intersection of Fairchild Street and River Landing Drive could be operational within the next two weeks. According to Chad Colman, director of real estate development for Holland Properties, Inc., the Department of Transportation has to install the controls on the light and then the City of Charleston will need to program it. Once that is complete, the lights will blink for a period of time to allow drivers to adjust to the new signal.
