PSHS students to attend National Renaissance Conference
Eight future Philip Simmons High School students have been selected to attend the “Jostens National Renaissance Conference” in Scottsdale, Arizona. The theme for the 2017 conference is “For What We Stand.”
Participating on behalf of PSHS are Maya Gerding, Abby Szlosek, Colin Nemeth, Timothy McDonald, Kevin Shaw, Shania Wilson, Bailey Pinckney and Tyler Harper. All are rising 9th or 10th grade students at the school, which is slated to open this August. The Josten’s Renaissance Conference is a one-of-a-kind experience that brings together action-oriented educators and students who stand for renewing the climate and culture in their schools. The program will be held from July 13-15.
