Star Wars Reads Day at Charleston County Library
Saturday, October 10 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Stormtroopers, Tusken Raiders and R2D2 are invading the library for an afternoon of Star Wars-related fun for the entire family. Meet and bring a camera to have your photo taken with characters from the Star Wars universe, participate in a costume contest, watch a movie, create a craft, test your trivia knowledge, listen to Star Wars-themed music performed by Charleston Symphony Orchestra and enjoy theme-related treats. Members of the Carolina Garrison chapter of the 501st Legion, a volunteer international Star Wars costuming organization, will be dressed in lifelike gear.

• 11 a.m. – Enjoy a musical performance of Star Wars songs performed by the Charleston Symphony Orchestra.
• 11:30 a.m. – Costume contest and parade. Prizes awarded in three age categories: under 11, 12-18 and over 18. Meet at the Information Desk.
• 12 p.m. – Grab a seat for Star Wars storytime for families.
