NEW DANIEL ISLAND SQUARE BUILDING UNDERWAY
Amplify, LLC, a Charleston based real estate, development, and consulting company, recently announced the formal ground breaking for the Daniel Island Square building located in the heart of the island’s commercial district on Island Park Drive. This building is Phase 1 of a larger development that will later include the planned Daniel Island Performing Arts Center and additional retail and office space.
The prominent, four-story, 44,000 square foot Daniel Island Square building will consist of 33,000 square feet of Class-A office space, the 11,000 square foot anchor restaurant, Dockery’s, and ample parking. On the western side of the Daniel Island Square building will be a 9,000 square foot covered outdoor patio and community event space that will be available for art shows, small musical performances, farmers' markets, and similar events. In addition to the patio, these uniquely designed offices will provide tenants with access to a dedicated private balcony per office floor.
"We wanted to design a building that not only reflected the community that it was going to reside in, but something that the community can actually gather around," said Chad Colman, Managing Director of Amplify. "We wanted to give Daniel Island a place to work as well as a place to congregate and come together ¬¬ a place to get to know each other better. We think that Daniel Island Square, with its large restaurant and outdoor space, will do just that."
The Daniel Island Square anchor tenant, Dockery’s, will be an 11,000 square foot destination restaurant that will offer live music and its own on-site brewery. The family-friendly concept with high quality fare and craft beer is a project by Concentrics Restaurants, a James Beard nominated, nationally acclaimed restaurant group based in Atlanta, Georgia. Dockery’s is slated to open in the fall of 2017. Updates on the project can be found at www.dockerysdanielisland.com or via Facebook at facebook.com/dockerysdi/.
