Celebrate high school graduates in the DI News

High school graduation marks the end of one era and the beginning of the next, as teens transition from childhood to young adulthood. Each year in the pages of The Daniel Island News, we celebrate our high school graduates by publishing their senior photos and by highlighting their accomplishments.

 

We are very fortunate to be able to work directly with the official photographers who took the senior photos at Bishop England and Philip Simmons high schools. In order to include island graduates who attend private or charter schools, we need help from the schools and parents to send us photos so we can recognize as many students as possible.

 

This year we will publish our special graduation edition on June 9. The deadline to submit senior photos is Thursday, June 2. Please send color photos, together with the student’s name and high school to our editor, Zach Giroux, zach@thedanielislandnews.com.

 

We also encourage local businesses and parents to recognize the graduates with special advertising messages. Please reach out to our advertising director, Ronda Schilling, for more information about purchasing a congratulatory ad at ronda@thedanielisalndnews.com.
