DINA Dashboard

In an effort to keep our residents informed about what issues the Daniel Island Neighborhood Association is currently working on, we are creating the DINA Dashboard to snapshot our committee activities. We plan on updating the dashboard periodically and will publish it here in The Daniel Island News and on our website, dineighborhoodassociation.org.
If you are not familiar with how DINA operates, this will shed light on the sort of activities we are involved with and how we try to serve our community. If you are interested in joining DINA or one of our committees, please come to one of our bi-monthly meetings or send an email to president@dineighborhoodassociation.org. Our next meeting is June 7.
DINA represents all residents on Daniel Island, whether you live in a single family home, an apartment, or condo; whether you live north or south of 526. We are not part of the POA, but work closely with the POA, the city of Charleston, and Berkeley County to facilitate and answer resident questions, concerns and requests.
Most of our work is performed by one of our committees. We currently have five committees; Safety, Land Use and Zoning, Web and Social Media, Membership and Ownership Transition. Our Tree Trimming committee, which for the past 3 1/2 years has been actively working in partnership with the city to prune trees, has recently been retired after city assurances to keep up the work. The mission statements for the committees can be found on our web site.
