Land use and zoning activities on Daniel Island

These are the issues being brought before the various City of Charleston boards and committees that are specific to land use and zoning on Daniel Island. City of Charleston Technical Review Committee (TRC) — At the most recent meeting on Dec. 28, the TRC asked that the site plan for a new commercial development at 297 Seven Farms Dr. be revised and resubmitted. At the next meeting on Jan. 4, the plans for preliminary plats and road construction for four lots on Pierce Street will be discussed.

City of Charleston Board of Zoning Appeals – Site Design (BZA-SD) — The next meeting will take place on Jan. 3 with no issues of impact to Daniel Island on the agenda.

City of Charleston Board of Zoning Appeals – Zoning (BZA-Z) — The next meeting will be held on Jan. 16. The agenda is not yet published.

City of Charleston Design Review Board (DRB) — The most recent meeting took place on Jan. 2. On the agenda was a request for preliminary approval for the construction of a new commercial office and retail building at 297 Seven Farms Dr. This was discussed at the Dec. 4 meeting and the board asked for resubmittal with various changes.

City of Charleston Planning Commission (PC) — The next meeting will be held on Jan. 17. The agenda is not yet published.
