One of the newest branches of the national brokerage firm A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. is scheduled to open on Daniel Island in the spring of 2006.

Modulant, Inc., a Daniel Island–based tech company and leading provider of software solutions and services, was recently awarded a major software engineering and services contract by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Charleston (SPAWAR). The new contract has a total cumulative value of $47 million.

Under the contract, the Modulant team will provide software engineering solutions and services for Data Translation, Data Mediation, Data Mapping, Interoperability, Risk Assessment, Open Systems Interconnection layer testing, Navy Network Engineering, and other services as required by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Charleston. Additional tasks will include architecture development, software engineering, prototyping, application development, data interoperability, system design, systems management and maintenance, data collection, analysis, and other implementation efforts.
