Rotary Roundup!

The Rotary Club of Daniel Island has welcomed three new members in recent months - Pat Ullman, Mary Jo Romeo Pappas, and Dr. Bill Greene.

Since 2012, Mary Jo Romeo Pappas has been immersed in coaching, training, consulting and business development, building off a successful career leading sales teams and organizations in the media space. She is currently coach and sales lead for Own the Room, a global, world class training company, and an executive coach specializing in transition, leadership development and advancing women within organizations. She is also the CEO and co-founder of UP Business Communications, a NYC-based training company. She has previously held senior management positions at BabyCenter, a division of J&J, The Weather Channel, and Parents magazine, among others. Pappas is pictured here with former Daniel Island Rotary Club President Gray Ives.

Dr. Bill Greene is a retired physician who recently moved here from Myrtle Beach with his wife of 50 years, Mary Ellen. Through the encouragement of Mary Ellen (who is also a Rotarian at the Mt. Pleasant lunch club), Dr. Greene became a member of the Myrtle Beach Rotary Club in 2000, served as club president for a term, and also served three years as the Rotary District Governor. That same year, he also committed to becoming a medical missionary to Haiti, where he has performed surgery on 125 patients, and helped raise over $2 million for the country, which contributed to the completion of two major water/sanitation projects. These clean water projects have become a passion for Dr. Greene. The Daniel Island Rotary Club is “very fortunate and excited he has brought that experience and knowledge” to the organization, stated Rotarian Derek Epperson, “with hopes he can help guide us with a potential new clean water project of our own.”

Pat Ullman, posing here with current Daniel Island Rotary Club President Todd Musheff, is a Chicago native and her background includes working for AT&T for over 17 years in various management positions before deciding to go back to law school to become an attorney. She was a partner in a Chicago law firm for most of her legal career, primarily representing real estate developers. She ended her legal career as general counsel to a financial services business based in the Chicago suburbs. Pat moved to Daniel Island in 2016 and joined the Rotary Club in August of 2017.
