February 2017 Real Estate Report
In February 2017, 15 homes sold on Daniel Island. As of March 14, there were 212 homes for sale. Of those, 148 were active and 64 were under contract. Total sales in February equaled $11,842,213.
The most expensive home sold during February was over 5000 square feet. Located on Gibbes Street in Daniel Island Park, the house was purchased for $1,687,500. The least expensive home sold was a one bedroom/one bath condo at 130 River Landing Drive. At just under 800 square feet, it sold for $165,000.
There were some notable trends during February.
“There was an increase in the purchase price to include several more properties over a million this year sold in February,” added Renee Reinert Pote, owner of Iron Gate Realty. Also interesting is that five of the 15 homes that sold, sold for more than a million dollars. That equals just over 30 percent. Another trend that has been evident for a while is that more and more condos are being sold. In fact, according to Reinert Pote, there were three times as many condos sold this February than there were in February in 2016.
