Interest rates on the rise; inventory remains low

Thirty-four homes sold on Daniel Island in April. The least expensive home sold was a condo on Bucksley Lane which sold for $245,000. The most expensive home sold was in Daniel Island Park on Lafar Street which closed at $3.8 million. 
 
Total sales for April were $45,284,139. As of May 9, a total of 59 homes were for sale on Daniel Island, with 46 of those under contract.  
 
Renee Reinert Pote of Iron Gate Realty said homes are moving very quickly when they come on the market. “Of the 34 sold (in April), most of the homes sold between one to four days on the market… Only five of the 34 properties sold between 13 to 33 days.” 
 
While interest rates have begun to climb, Pote said inventory remains low and pricing remains strong.
 
“Where will it go now? I do not think we will see any big drop in pricing, but I do think we will see the prices adjusting and holding a little more than they have been in the recent past,” Pote said.
