July shows slight shift in real estate market

In July, 50 homes sold on Daniel Island, down from this time last year, with 61 homes sold in July 2020. The volume sold continues to soar with over $70 million in sales in July.
 
As of Aug. 5, there were a total of 100 homes listed for sale on Daniel Island, with 64 of them under contract and 36 active.  
 
What continues to be a constant in this market is that homes are continuing to be priced high. However, Renee Reinert Pote with Iron Gate Realty has noticed a trend suggesting some limits are emerging in the market.
 
“Last month we saw a slight shift in the market. Sellers have more boundaries on how high they can list their property. It’s a healthy shift. However, prices are still high and prices still continue to increase,” Pote noted.
