Land use and zoning activities on Daniel Island

These are the issues being brought before the various City of Charleston boards and committees that are specific to land use and zoning on Daniel Island. City of Charleston Technical Review Committee (TRC) — At the most recent meeting on November 1, committee members requested that the construction plans for 30,000 square foot office building on Parkline Avenue be revised and resubmitted to TRC with the construction activity application, a stormwater pollution prevention plan, a statistical downscaling model checklist, the S.C. DHEC Notice of Intent, incorporation of Daniel Island Master SWR, the stormwater technical report, and a traffic impact study. At the next meeting, on November 8, the road construction plans to extend Oak Leaf Street will be discussed.

City of Charleston Board of Zoning Appeals – Site Design (BZA-SD) — The most recent meeting was held on November 7 with no issues of impact to Daniel Island on the agenda.

City of Charleston Board of Zoning Appeals – Zoning (BZA-Z) — The most recent meeting was held on November 6 with no issues of impact to Daniel Island on the agenda.

City of Charleston Design Review Board (DRB) — At the most recent meeting on November 5, the conceptual approval for the construction of a new indoor tennis court at the Daniel Island Club was discussed.

City of Charleston Planning Commission (PC) — The next meeting will be held on November 21. The agenda is not yet published.
