September 2019 Daniel Island real estate report

Twenty-six homes sold on Daniel Island in September. As of October 16, there were 171 homes for sale — 118 active and 53 under contract or pending. The total volume sold was $20,520,565.

The most expensive home sold was located in Daniel Island Park on Lesesne Street, with five bedrooms and five bathrooms. It sold for $1.62 million. The least expensive home sold was a one bedroom, one bath studio condo on Bucksley Lane, which sold for $161,000.

According to Hayden Jennings of Hayden Jennings Properties, an interesting trend this September versus last September was the difference in single family homes compared to condos and townhomes when looking at sales.

“The number of single family homes that closed in September 2019 increased by 38% compared to the same period in 2018. It was the opposite trend for condos and townhomes. The number of closed sales went the opposite direction. There were 50% less closed transactions in September 2019 for condos and townhomes compared to September 2018,” noted Jennings.
