Cainhoy Hurricanes win shootout!

The U13 Cainhoy Hurricanes, sponsored by Wash Wizard, won the United Soccer Academy Mt. Pleasant Shootout held September 23-24. The Hurricanes earned their spot in the finals with victories over GPS Coastal (7-0), Charlotte Carolina Rapids (3-0), and the Technical Soccer Club of Columbia (9-0). In the championship game, the Hurricanes defeated the USAMP Challenge 1-0 with a goal scored by Emma Muller and an assist from Camden Davis. The team would like to recognize notable performances by Josie May, scoring a total of five tournament goals, and the team’s shutout victories in all four games due in part to exceptional defense by center back Julia Cosgrove and goal keepers Grace Ward and Ashton Douty.
