CrossFit Charleston athletes work out for a cause!

Local athlete and CrossFit Charleston coach Kelly Stratoti recently qualified for the USA National Masters Weightlifting Championship on March 28-31 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Kelly is also an assistant athletic trainer at Goose Creek High School. To help support Kelly’s travel fund for her upcoming trip to Utah, CrossFit Charleston hosted a fundraising workout on Feb. 9 at their location on Deanna Lane off Clements Ferry Road in Wando. The event was attended by about 25 participants and generated $1,000 towards Kelly’s trip.

“It’s wonderful when our CrossFit community can come together to support a fellow athlete - that’s what makes CrossFit so special,” said Holly Fisher, co-owner of CrossFit Charleston. “We’re so proud of Kelly’s accomplishment and know she will represent our community well in the USA National Masters Weightlifting Championship next month.”
