Delaney Doyle wins the football pick'em, Millennium Financial goes 12-0

This week’s winner of the Pigskin Challenge is Delaney Doyle. Doyle was one of two people to beat sponsor Robert VanNewkirk of CrossFit Discovery with an 11-1 record. Doyle beat Ron Dibella in the tie-breaker, who also went 11-1.

A recent graduate of the University of South Carolina with a BSN in Nursing, Doyle works for Roper St. Francis Hospital.

“I played your football pick ‘em contest because I thought it was a fun thing to do, but I never actually thought I would win anything. Do I actually win something?” she said an email. Yes! Delaney wins a Group Kickstart Program to CrossFit Discovery, a package valued at $199.

Each week from now until the Super Bowl, readers will be given the opportunity to “Beat the Sponsor” and to win great prizes. We will email a link to the survey each Monday via a Daniel Island News eblast and we will also put the URL link on our Facebook page and here in the paper. To be eligible to win, you must select your entries online by noon on Friday. There is no cost to enter. If you’d like to be added to our eblast, please send your email address to sdetar@thedanielislandnews.com.

To enter, go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SQ3WBFN and fill out your ballot.

Each week, we will also include a running win-loss record for each of our sponsor and the paper will donate $500 to the charity of choice of the sponsor who has the best overall win-loss record at the end of the season. In the sponsor competition, Rosie Stieby extends her lead to three games and Jeff Burton & Steve Meyer of Millennium Private Wealth went 12-0 to move into a two-way tie for second with the Brookes Family/South State Bank Mortgage.

This week is your opportunity to beat the Brookes Family and South State Bank Mortgage and for an opportunity to win a $50 gift certificate to Sermet’s Courtyard.
