DISA is a family-oriented soccer club founded by Bishop England High School (BEHS) head varsity soccer coach Ed Khouri. Khouri’s desire to teach, coach, and share his passion for the sport is the backbone of DISA’s player-development program.
Khouri’s BEHS teams have won 15 State Championships and are considered perennial state championship contenders. It is the winningest SC high school boys program. In addition, Khouri is a former Charleston Battery Assistant coach and has received the prestigious Adidas National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Boys Coach of the Year award numerous times.
DISA’s coaches, many of whom have played at professional and/or NCAA levels, teach technical and tactical insights which prepare young players for long-term competitive soccer. They are dedicated to the quality development of both the player and the person. We continue to develop National Team and ODP Regional players. To learn more about DISA’s coaching staff visit www.disacademy.org.
DISA currently has over 200 players and 16 teams that practice on Daniel Island. DISA teams compete in spring and fall soccer leagues both locally and around the region.
