Look Who’s Here: 900 Island Park Drive

Health care, technology offices anchor longtime corner hub

Located on the corner of one of Daniel Island’s busiest intersections across from LIDI Ristorante, 900 Island Park Drive stands as a cornerstone of business and innovation.

Built in 2000 and renovated in 2022, the two-story, 41,360-square-foot office building is home to a range of industries, including health care, information technology, staffing, and management services.

Charleston Sports Medicine and its in-house physical therapy division, CSM PT, provide orthopedic, sports medicine, and rehabilitation care. Led by Dr. Bright McConnell III and a team with over 40 years of experience in sports medicine, the practice combines advanced technology with proven expertise, offering regenerative therapies, shock-wave treatments, and performance-based rehabilitation to help patients recover.

“I have been treating people here in the community for 37 years, and it is always so rewarding to see them out doing well, returning to even better shape than before their injuries, with more knowledge on how to prevent injuries in the future,” physical therapist Sue Harter said.

ATI Physical Therapy delivers outpatient rehabilitation affiliated with Roper St. Francis Healthcare. Their licensed therapists devise customized treatment plans designed to help patients overcome pain, restore strength, and “move, feel, and live better,” according to clinical director Alyssa Latimer. The clinic is part of a national network, offering evidence-based treatment plans they tailor to individual needs.

“We love being part of the Daniel Island community – it’s active, welcoming, and full of energy,” Latimer said. “Helping our neighbors recover, stay healthy, and get back to the activities they love is what makes our work so meaningful here.”

Aerotek is a recruitment and staffing agency that connects professionals with companies across industries, from engineering and manufacturing to logistics and professional services. Its Charleston office provides tailored hiring solutions that support both business needs and career growth.

“As one of the top staffing agencies in Charleston and North America, we match career-driven job seekers with successful businesses from the Fortune 500 and rising startups,” according to the company's website.

Headquartered on Daniel Island, the HCA South Atlantic Supply Chain team supports one of the region’s largest hospital networks, managing the goods, services, and logistics for over 13 hospitals and dozens of outpatient facilities. Its supply chain office oversees equipment sourcing, inventory management, and vendor coordination.

“Our team is dedicated to providing compassionate and quality care in the communities we serve,” HCA’s website states. “Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life.”

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is a national construction services firm providing construction management, general contracting, design-build, and integrated project delivery across sectors including health care, education, and commercial real estate. The company said its Daniel Island office works with clients and design teams to deliver projects that meet functional and aesthetic goals while staying on budget and on schedule.

Metronome LLC provides IT, administrative, and intelligence solutions, with expertise in cloud management, cybersecurity, data management, and mission support. The company emphasizes collaboration and continuous improvement while supporting clients across a range of technology and operational needs.

In addition to housing a variety of professional offices, this location also serves as the Daniel Island congressional office of U.S. Representative Nancy Mace, who represents South Carolina’s first district.
