DISA U13 soccer team wins SC Presidents Cup
The Daniel Island Soccer Academy’s Under-13 soccer team survived a double overtime stalemate against the Easley Soccer Club and triumphed 4-1 in penalty kicks to become the first girls’ DISA team to win the South Carolina Presidents Cup.
The team had lost two previous games during the season on penalty kicks and since then resolved to master the sudden-death shootout.
The team now moves on to the national regionals in Plano, Texas, June 13-17, and is raising funds to support the cost of the trip. If you would like to help, visit bit.ly/disagirls.
