Charleston Fire Department hosts student art contest
The Charleston Fire Department is inviting first through eighth graders within the City of Charleston to participate in its 2025 Fire Safety Art Contest.
This year’s theme is “Charge into Fire Safety: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home.” Students can use crayons, pencils, chalk, or paint to create hand-drawn artwork that highlights the theme.
Entries must be submitted electronically by 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, through the city’s online form at bit.ly/4hnGTfN.
Prizes include a $50 gift card for first-place winners in each grade division and a family dinner at a Charleston fire station for one overall winner.
