DIBA beats the heat at summer block party sponsored by iCRYO

Attendees took a breather from the summer’s sweltering heat by “chilling out” literally and figuratively at iCRYO Daniel Island during the Daniel Island Business Association’s monthly networking party July 27.
Stephen and Cindy Powers, iCRYO owners, offered guests a 3-minute freeze inside a subzero cryotherapy chamber to immerse their bodies in temperatures 145 degrees below zero. The cold therapy is said to speed up recovery and decrease inflammation throughout the body.
Other guests had a chance to slip on compression sleeves for 30 minutes of leg therapy designed to increase blood flow.
The iCRYO Recovery and Wellness center is fast approaching its second anniversary this fall and is located at 866 Island Park Drive.
