Dining igloos keep outdoor meals warm on Daniel Island

Even chilly winter evenings don’t mean giving up on outdoor dining.

On Daniel Island, The Kingstide has brought back a cozy twist to rooftop dining with heated igloo domes, letting diners enjoy the restaurant’s ambiance while staying warm and snug.

“Dining in an igloo is a truly memorable experience,” said Erin Harloe, marketing manager at The Kingstide. “We had a post-proposal celebration inside one of the igloos during the holidays and have seen many Galentine’s girl dinners. It’s a great way to enjoy everything our rooftop has to offer without the cold weather.”

The Kingstide offers two igloos, seating six to eight people each, complete with a table, a heater, and blankets. Guests can use them free on a first-come, first-served basis. Kelly Davis, a frequent visitor, said, “There’s nothing cozier than enjoying a warm meal inside the igloo while still taking in the rooftop views.”

The igloo domes will stay through the cold months.
