DIS presents 'A Charlie Brown Christmas!'

Charlie Brown, Linus, Snoopy, Lucy and all of their friends took to the stage at Daniel Island School last weekend to present the nostalgic holiday favorite “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” A total of 27 students, along with an additional 65 chorus students, took part in the production. According to Director Lauren Canfield, actors were cast in September and pulled everything together in the four weeks leading up to the shows on December 9 and 10. Over 600 tickets were sold to capacity crowds both nights.

Cast members included Marshall Fleming as Charlie Brown, Nate Heineck as Snoopy, Charlotte Francis as Lucy, Brady Bishop as Linus, Buist Grimball as Pig Pen, Caroline Turner as Frieda, Nolan Kiefer as Schroeder, Amber McAdams as Violet, Bella Catherine Byham as Sally, Ella Cooper as Patty, and Davis Bares as Shermy. Ryan Hinske, Payson Noding, Søren Spina, Eli Crowley, Kate Johnston, Buist Grimball, Emma Douglas, and Lily Kate Cobb served as understudies.

The Flowertown Players of Summerville loaned the show some of their set pieces, and DIS parent Veronica McAdams made all of the costumes by hand! The school’s next production will be The Sound of Music, set to debut March 23-26.
